This was one of my favourite events I organised in my stint as the Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Vic/Tas branch of the Design Institute of Australia.

2013 was a bumper year. We ran dozens (dozens!!) of events that year - all coordinated by volunteers, in service of the design community of Victoria and Tasmania.

This event - the Sandcastle Challenge - was championed by Mike at Chijoff & Co, then Industrial Design representative on the Vic/Tas council. My role was to support Mike in bringing this event to life: marketing design and implementation, social media coordination, ticketing execution, event logistics coordination and supervision, then post-event social tie-off and community engagement.

It was great fun! We even had Architecture & Design AU do a small write up, and had Glenn Dixon Visual on scene to produce this lovely video.

And of course big congratulations to the team from Brooking Harper who took out the win!
